How we make a difference

Master Plumbers and Mechanical Services Association of Australia (Master Plumbers) was established in 1891 and is the industry’s representative and voice on safety, standards and training.

Representing members interests

Master Plumbers’ focus is on supporting our members and ensuring the health and safety of our community. We provide a qualified and expert perspective on issues related to the plumbing profession and opportunities to enhance the future of our industry.

Master Plumbers has identified eight key priorities, which we believe are critical to the ongoing improvement of our industry and the safety of the communities our members serve.

  1. A safer industry
  2. Effective regulation
  3. A fit for purpose insurance system
  4. Protecting the integrity of the trade
  5. Protecting the viability of plumbing businesses
  6. The gas transition and the hydrogen opportunity
  7. Training, skills and future proofing our industry
  8. Equality and opportunity

These priorities are outlined in the report “Plumbing Industry Priorities”, which was published on behalf of members and will be used by Master Plumbers to lobby all political parties in the lead up to the next State election.
