Master Plumbers Event Terms and Conditions

By registering for this event, the attendee (“Registrant”) agrees to the following Terms & Conditions set by Master Plumbers and Mechanical Services Association of Australia (“The Organiser”, “MPMSAA”, “Master Plumbers”, “we”, “us”, “our”). 
 
1. Registration & Acceptance of Terms 
 
All registrations must be completed through the official online registration platform. 
 
Submission of a registration constitutes: 

  • An offer to attend the event; and
  • Acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

Registration is not confirmed until: 

  • (For paid and ticketed events) Full payment has been successfully processed; and
  • A confirmation email has been issued.

The Organiser reserves the right to accept, reject, or cancel any registration at its discretion. 
 
2. Payment Terms 
 
Full payment is required at the time of registration. No place will be reserved without payment. 
 
Accepted payment methods: 

  • Credit Card  

All fees are stated in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise specified. 
 
Failure to complete payment authorisation may result in automatic cancellation of the registration. 
 
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy 
 
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]  
 
3.1 Paid Registrations 

  • Cancellations received at least 21 calendar days before the event are eligible for a full refund, less administrative and transaction fees.
  • Cancellations received at least 14 calendar days but fewer than 21 calendar days before the event are eligible for a 50% refund, less administrative and transaction fees.
  • Cancellations received fewer than 14 calendar days before the event are not eligible for a refund.
  • No refunds will be issued within 14 calendar days before the event or for non-attendance (no-shows). 

Exceptional Circumstances: 
Requests for refunds outside of this policy may be considered in exceptional circumstances at The Organiser’s sole discretion. Supporting documentation (e.g., medical certificate or other reasonable evidence) may be required. 
 
Refunds will be processed within 10-14 business days via the original payment method where possible. 
 
3.2 Substitutions 
 
Registrant may transfer their registration to another person within the same organisation up to 1 calendar days prior to the event. 
 
Substitution requests must: 
 
• Be submitted in writing to [email protected]  
• Include full contact details of the substitute attendee 
• Be approved by the Master Plumbers  
 
Master Plumbers reserves the right to refuse substitutions that do not meet eligibility or compliance requirements. 
 
4. Event Changes & Force Majeure 
 
The Organiser reserves the right to: 

  • Modify the event program, speakers, venue, format, or schedule
  • Postpone the event
  • Convert the event to a virtual format
  • Cancel the event  

If the event is cancelled by The Organiser (and not due to force majeure), liability is limited to a refund of the registration fee paid. 
 
The Organiser shall not be liable for delay, modification, or cancellation caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: 

  • Natural disasters
  • Severe weather events
  • Government directives or restrictions
  • Public health emergencies
  • Industrial disputes
  • Acts of terrorism
  • Venue closure 

 In such cases, refunds, credits, or transfers may be offered at The Organiser’s discretion, subject to Australian Consumer Law obligations. 
 
5. Code of Conduct 
 
All attendees must behave in a lawful, professional, and respectful manner. 
 
The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove any attendee without refund who: 

  • Engages in disruptive, threatening, discriminatory, or harassing behaviour
  • Fails to comply with venue policies 
  • Breaches any applicable law
  • Fails to comply with event rules 

 Decisions regarding removal are final. 
 
6. Privacy & Data Protection 
 
By registering for an event, the Registrant consents to the collection and use of personal information in accordance with the Organiser’s Privacy Policy.

7. Media Release 
 
The event may be recorded, photographed, or live-streamed. By attending the event or webinar, as a presenter, partner, ticket holder, or as a guest: 

  • You consent to your voice, image, and likeness being recorded and used in any format for event broadcasts, advertising, or promotional purposes, without compensation. 
  • You confirm that any attendees you bring also consent to this recording and use.
  • You agree to indemnify the Organiser against any claims or liabilities connected to the use of images or recordings as outlined above. 

 8. Governing Law 
 
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria and the Commonwealth of Australia.
