Step-by-step guide

  1. Step 1 – Apply
    • Apply for a Vacancy by simply clicking the Apply Now button
    • Complete your basic Application and Upload Your Resume (2 minutes)
    • Application Will Be reviewed - phone Interview
  2. Step 2 – Interview
    • Complete the Onboarded Application (10 minutes)
    • Attend an Interview with PAV
    • Skill Assessments / Reference Checks
    • Attend a medical assessment
  3. Step 3 – Induction
    • Attend a half-day induction of WHS
    • Attend a half-day induction on expectations
    • Order tools
    • Receive PPE and PPC
  4. Step 4 – Meet your Field Officer

    For the duration of your apprenticeship, you will have a dedicated Field Officer / Mentor to assist you with any issues or concerns you may have.

    Your Field Officer will also assist you with: Mentoring, monitoring your Training plan, monitoring your on-the-job, government paperwork and monitoring your safety.

  5. Step 5 – Commencement
    • Placement with your first host organisation
    • Rotation to experience various streams of plumbing
    • Mentoring and support
    • Attending of Trade School
    • Completion of Journeyman’s Exam
    • Successful completion of your Apprenticeship
