Master Plumbers – Communication Consent Policy

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the consent you provide to Master Plumbers and Mechanical Services Association of Australia (“MPMSAA”, “Master Plumbers”, “we”, “us”, “our”) to contact you regarding membership and related activities. By providing your consent (e.g., by checking a consent box, submitting a form containing these terms, or otherwise signifying your agreement), you (“you”, “your”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Consent to Contact

By agreeing to these Terms, you expressly consent to Master Plumbers contacting you for the following purposes:

  • Providing information about Master Plumbers membership benefits, options, and application processes.
  • Sending membership renewal reminders and related administrative communications.
  • Notifying you about upcoming events, training sessions, workshops, and conferences organised or endorsed by Master Plumbers.
  • Sharing industry news, updates, technical information, and publications relevant to the plumbing profession.
  • Informing you about products, services, or special offers from Master Plumbers or its trusted partners that may be of interest to members or potential members.
  • Requesting participation in surveys or feedback requests to help us improve our services and offerings.
  • Other communications directly related to your potential or existing relationship with Master Plumbers and its activities.

You consent to being contacted by Master Plumbers via the following methods, using the contact details you have provided:

  • SMS (Text Message)
  • Postal Mail

4. Use of Your Information & Privacy

The contact information you provide will be used solely for the purposes outlined in Section 2 of these Terms and in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

5. Withdrawing Your Consent (Opting Out)

You have the right to withdraw your consent and opt-out of receiving communications from Master Plumbers at any time.

SMS: You may be able to opt-out by replying “STOP” to an SMS message (if this functionality is provided).

All Communications: You can withdraw your consent for all communication methods (except for critical communications) by contacting us directly:

Please allow a reasonable period (e.g., 5-10 business days) for your request to be processed. Note that withdrawing consent for marketing or general communications may not prevent us from sending essential administrative or transactional messages related to an existing membership or service you have with us.

You agree to provide accurate and current contact information and to update us if your details change. Master Plumbers is not responsible for communications not received due to inaccurate or outdated contact information provided by you.

7. Amendments to these Terms

Master Plumbers reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Terms on our website or otherwise notifying you. Your continued interaction with us or failure to withdraw consent after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.  

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria and the Commonwealth of Australia.
