Estimate and cost work

This unit provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to estimate materials, labour and time requirements and to establish costs for the provision of services or products.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to: 
·        Apply relevant information, standards and specifications to the estimation and costing of work
·        Applying safety requirements throughout the work sequence, including electrical safety requirements and the use of personal protective clothing and equipment
·        Estimate and cost three (3) varied jobs in at least Class 1 buildings
·        Provide a written quotation and tender for each work requirement
·        Accurately estimate the time and cost to complete the work
·        Estimate materials and labour requirements for each job.
